USCIS has completed the H-1B lottery or the Random Selection Process for FY 2018.
On April 7th USCIS informed that it had received enough H-1B applications to breach the CAP for fiscal year 2018. This year there was a dramatic decrease in petitions infact USCIS received only 199000 petitions for the H-1B lottery . As compared to 36000 petitions to last year’s H-1B lottery!!! (our prediction was way off when it came to increase !! but our website did predict a gut feeling curve of reduced petitions due to new government’s impact)
We are getting information that the USCIS has already started the petition selection process, ie. Lottery. The agency conducted the selection process for the advanced degree exemption first. And checks are being encashed as we speak. All un selected advanced degree petitions then became part of the random selection process for the 65,000 cap.
